Woodside, CA – One Killed Accident on I-280 (Junipero Serra Fwy)
Woodside, CA (June 24, 2020) – At approximately 3:40 p.m., on June 23, the California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 280.
Reports show that a Freeway Service Patrol driver was assisting a driver in the southbound lanes of the interstate when they were struck by a lumber truck. The semi-truck crashed into the Freeway Service Patrol driver and his vehicle, causing fatal injuries. The victim was declared deceased at the scene of the accident. CHP closed off the area and began their investigations. At this time, investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
