Winton, CA – Two Injured in Motor Vehicle Accident on Shaffer Rd
Winton, CA (June 28, 2020) – An automobile accident early Sunday morning left two people seriously injured in Merced County, according to reports. At approximately 2:30 a.m., on June 21, the California Highway Patrol responded to the site of a collision on Shaffer Road.
Reports from CHP show that a Honda Accord, driven by Alejandro Cortes Mandujano, was traveling east on Eucalyptus Avenue when it was T-boned on the passenger side by a Dodge Durango at the intersection with Shaffer Road. The impact of the collision caused Mandujano to be partially ejected out of the windshield.
Mandujano and his passenger were seriously injured in the accident. Both victims were hospitalized immediately following the crash. At this time, the collision remains under investigation.
