San Francisco, CA – One Injured in Two-Alarm Fire on Powell St

San Francisco, CA – Firefighter Killed in Work Accident on 19th St

San Francisco, CA (August 1, 2020) – An early-morning fire on sent one victim to a local hospital with injuries on Friday. Just after 2 a.m., on July 31, the San Francisco Fire Department responded to the scene of a fire in the 2200 block of Powell Street.

Reports provided by the San Francisco fire officials show that a blaze broke out at a three-story building near San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf. The fire was elevated to a two-alarm fire as more firefighters were requested to the area. By 3:18 a.m., firefighters were able to contain the fire in the apartment building.

One person inside the residence sustained injuries in the fire. The victim was provided medical treatment at the scene of the accident and transported to a local hospital for further treatment of injuries. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
