San Francisco, CA (October 3, 2020) – A crash in the Duboce Triangle left one person injured on Wednesday. At approximately 6:20 p.m., on September 30, the California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a crash on Market Street.

Reports from local news sources show that a motorcyclist was traveling on Market Street. When the rider approached the intersection with 16th Street, they were struck by another vehicle.

The rider was injured in this accident. Medical personnel rendered aid at the scene and transported the injured victim to an area hospital for treatment. At this time, the crash remains under investigation.

Our thoughts are with the victim injured in this accident. We hope for their full recovery.

Motorcycle Accidents in California

Thousands of people are registered to own motorcycles in the state of California. Many choose this method of transportation because it is viewed as enjoyable and rejuvenating. It is also extremely cost-efficient. Motorcycle accidents often result in life-altering injuries due to the fact that riders remain relatively unprotected against other vehicles. As more and more people are using their phones while driving and engaging in other reckless and irresponsible actions while behind the wheel, we continue to see a spiraling upward trend surrounding the frequency and severity of collisions throughout our state.

The fact that most accidents are preventable is extremely alarming, considering the number of people who are left seriously injured after collisions in our state. Statistics show that more than 80% of traffic accidents are caused by the negligence of other drivers. Although we can act to safeguard others on the road, there is no guarantee that other drivers will do the same for us. When motorcycles are involved in collisions, especially those with SUVs, semi-trucks, buses, and commercial vehicles, they are likely to suffer serious injuries. Those harmed by others should reach out to a motorcycle accident attorney in California as soon as possible to explore legal options available to them. Victims may be entitled to compensation to help cover the costs of medical treatment, offset the impacts of lost wages, and more.
