San Francisco, CA – Female Injured in Pedestrian Crash on Taylor St

San Francisco, CA (September 4, 2020) – A pedestrian accident reported in the Tenderloin section of San Francisco on Wednesday evening sent one woman to a local hospital for treatment of injuries.

Just before 11:20 p.m., on September 2, the San Francisco Police Department, firefighters, and medical personnel responded to the scene of a collision on Taylor Street. Reports provided by local sources show that an adult female pedestrian was walking across the roadway at the intersection of Taylor Street and O’Farrell Street when she was struck by a vehicle.

Emergency crews responded to the site and immediately secured the area. Medical personnel rendered aid to the victim at the scene and transported the injured woman to a local hospital via ambulance for further treatment. At this time, the police in San Francisco are investigating the accident.

Our thoughts are with the victim injured in this accident. We hope for their full recovery.

Pedestrian Accidents in California

Every year, more than 14,500 pedestrians are struck by vehicles throughout the state of California. The total number of pedestrians injured in collisions throughout our state is equal to nearly 6% of all traffic-related incidents each year. Being involved in a pedestrian accident can have a detrimental impact on a person’s life. Regrettably, the majority of these accidents are caused by drivers who act negligently while operating their vehicles. When drivers text, talk on their phones, change the radio, drive impaired, and perform other actions that take their eyes off the road, they are likely to cause life-changing accidents. In many cases, victims suffer from catastrophic injuries that require extensive medical treatment that is not only painful but extremely costly. When people sustain injuries in accidents caused by negligent drivers, it is crucial that they reach out to a pedestrian accident lawyer in California to protect their legal rights.
