Sacramento, CA – Joel Broussard Killed in Truck Accident on I-5 (West Side Hwy)
Sacramento, CA (September 10, 2020) – An accident Tuesday evening claimed one man’s life in the Sacramento area. At approximately 6 p.m., on September 8, the California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a car crash on Interstate 5.
Reports show that a semi-truck was traveling down Interstate 5 when the vehicle crashed into about ten vehicles on the interstate near the area of Florin Road. The crash resulted in severe damage to multiple vehicles.
The driver of a Chrysler 300, who was identified as 39-year-old Joel Broussard, sustained fatal injuries in the accident. Medical personnel declared Broussard deceased at the scene. Two other people were injured in this accident. Both victims were transported to area hospitals for treatment.
At this time, the crash remains under investigation with the California Highway Patrol.
