Sacramento, CA – Child injured in Residential Fire on East Parkway
Sacramento, CA (October 3, 2020) – A fire incident on the city’s south side left one child seriously injured. On September 29, the Sacramento Fire Department responded to the scene of a fire incident on the East Parkway.
Reports show that a residential fire broke out at a home in the 7400 block of East Parkway at approximately 6 p.m. Crews arrived at the scene and found flames pouring out the home’s windows.
Crews battled the blaze aggressively to prevent it from spreading to nearby buildings. Crews were able to take control of the fire and clear the scene of the incident. Seven people inside the home were out. One person, a young child, sustained serious burn injuries. The child was transported to a local hospital for emergency medical services.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
