Placerville, CA – Ronald Gillespie Killed in Accident Reported on Gold Hill Rd
Placerville, CA (September 30, 2020) – An accident on Sunday afternoon claimed one man’s life in the Placerville area. Just after 3:20 p.m., on September 27, the California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a crash on Gold Hill Road.
Reports show that 18-year-old Rafael Reynaga was driving a 2002 Dodge Dakota pickup truck through the intersection of Gold Hill Road and Lotus Road when his vehicle collided with a 1997 Harley Davidson, which was driven by 67-year-old Ronald Gillespie.
The impact of the crash caused Gillespie to be ejected from his vehicle. The man was fatally injured in the accident and declared deceased at the scene.
Neither Reynaga nor his passenger, 18-year-old Marlene Magdaleno, were injured in the crash. At this time, the circumstances surrounding the crash are under investigation.
