Oakland, CA – Two-Car Accident on I-580 (MacArthur Fwy) Leaves One Injured
Oakland, CA (September 17, 2020) – An accident reported on Wednesday evening in the Oakland area left one person injured. Just after 6 p.m., on September 16, the California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 580 Freeway.
Reports show that an SUV and a silver sedan collided on the westbound side of Interstate 580 Freeway (MacArthur Freeway) near the on-ramp for 35th Avenue.
The impact of the crash caused the sedan to roll over. One person was trapped inside the sedan. Firefighters responded to the scene and had to extricate the victim. Medical personnel rendered aid to the victim and transported them to an area hospital for further treatment of injuries. At this time, the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
