Car Accidents in California
Every day, millions of people throughout the state use vehicles to travel to their destinations. Although we like to think everyone makes it to their destination unscathed, this is not always true. In fact, the state of California is notorious for traffic-related incidents. In fact, the state ranks as one of the highest car accident death counts each year with an average of .92 deaths per 100 million vehicle miles traveled. Although this may not seem like a substantial number, it equates to thousands of lives lost each year.
In addition to losing our loved ones in accidents, over 150,000 other people are seriously injured in collisions each year. This number breaks down to around 10,000 people being injured in auto collisions throughout the state of California every month. Many victims require hospitalization, therapy, and months to recover. Thousands of accident victims are left with permanent disfigurement and pain and suffering that impacts their health and wellbeing. When victims are injured in accidents, it is crucial that they seek legal guidance from a car accident attorney in California to explore legal options available to them.
