Martinez, CA – Child Seriously Injured in Pedestrian Crash on Vine Ave

Martinez, CA (July 5, 2020) – An automobile accident reported in the Martinez area left one child seriously injured. At approximately 4 p.m., on July 2, a 7-year-old boy was outside of his home on Vine Avenue while riding a scooter.

As he rode through the area, the young boy was struck by a van. The child suffered critical injuries in the accident. He was airlifted from the site of the crash to Children’s Hospital Oakland for emergency surgery. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
