Fremont, CA – Feda Almaliti & Son Killed in Fire on Serra Place

San Francisco, CA – Firefighter Killed in Work Accident on 19th St

Fremont, CA (September 27, 2020) – A fire incident in the Fremont area claimed the lives of two people and left two others injured. At approximately 1:45 a.m., on September 26, firefighters in Fremont were called to the scene of a fire incident on Serra Place.

Reports show that a residential fire occurred in the 39000 block of Serra Place during the early morning hours. Four people were trapped inside the home at the time of the fire. Crews battled the blaze for roughly 25-minutes before taking control of the situation.

Crews were able to rescue one adult and one child from the home. Both victims were rushed to area hospitals with critical, life-threatening injuries.

A second adult, 43-year-old Feda Almaliti, and her 15-year-old son, both sustained fatal injuries in the fire.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation with local fire officials.
