Motorcycle Accidents in California
Every year, thousands of people are hospitalized as a result of motorcycle accidents in the state of California. Unlike most other collisions, these accidents are more likely to result in life-threatening injuries for victims. The fact that the riders are completely exposed leaves them vulnerable to the impact of larger and heavier vehicles.
Wearing a helmet may be beneficial for people who strike their heads in collisions, but they provide no protection to the rest of the body. As a result, these accidents leave thousands of people throughout our state with debilitating injuries each year. Many riders sustain traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and broken bones that force them out of work for extended periods to recover. After months of therapy, there is no guarantee that a victim will ever fully recover. As a result, they are forced to endure the mental, physical, and financial consequences indefinitely. In some cases, victims are able to pursue legal options available to them to obtain compensation from at-fault drivers to help cover the costs they face moving forward. Working with a California motorcycle accident lawyer is a victim’s best bet for getting the justice they deserve.
