Castroville, CA – Accident on CA-1 (Cabrillo Hwy) Leaves Four Injured
Castroville, CA (July 6, 2020) – A car accident in Castroville left four victims injured on Friday, according to reports. At approximately 1 p.m., on July 3, the California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on California Highway 1 (Cabrillo Highway).
Reports show that a truck was traveling down the highway, just south of Harkins Slough, when a piece of farming equipment being towed by the truck dislodged and caught fire. The truck stopped abruptly on the road. After stopping, the vehicle was struck by a van, leading to a chain-reaction collision.
Four people sustained injuries in this accident. Two victims were hospitalized with serious injuries from the accident. The other two victims suffered moderate injuries in the collision. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
