Ballico, CA – Crash on Turlock Rd Claims Young Child’s Life

San Francisco, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash on 3rd St Results in Injuries

Ballico, CA (August 25, 2020) – A car crash reported in Merced County claimed the life of one young boy while leaving others seriously injured on Sunday evening. At approximately 9:20 p.m., on August 23, the California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Turlock Road.

Reports show that a crash involving three vehicles collided on Turlock Road near the intersection with Oakdale Road. Preliminary investigations found that 28-year-old Tasjuan Drake was driving a 2011 Cadillac SUV north on Oakdale Road when his vehicle was struck by a 2013 Ford Fusion, driving by 58-year-old Catherine Brehm, at the intersection with Turlock Road. The impact of the crash sent the two vehicles into a 2015 Toyota Tacoma, driven by 35-year-old Daniel Donham, which was stopped at the intersection.

A 7-year-old boy, a 4-year-old girl, a 2-year-old boy, Drake, and his front passenger, 25-year-old Heather Hill, were all injured in the accident.  Drake and Hill were transported to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto for treatment of major injuries. The 4-year-old child and the 2-year-old child were both rushed to Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera.

The 7-year-old boy died from his injuries at the scene of the crash. At this time, the California Highway Patrol is investigating.
